Maliqa Mediterranean Cuisine Soul Food Fit For A King

How many of you tasted Mediterranean food? What is it like? Middle eastern ? Kebabs ? No no no ….. this is all the food from middle Europe where it is more like Greece to be specific.

Located at the center of Bukit Damansara, MALIQA greets you with a comfortable decor which all the setup and arrangements were done by one of the owner who are passionate in interior design. The word MALIQA carries a meaning of Queen Consort in Persian language.

The place were mainly served by muslim workers which all fellow Malay friends can rest assure foods served here are HALAL.

Every single piece of decoration here were hand picked and imported. It gives you a royalty feel as you step in. You can feel like you have turned into Prince of Persia.

Top view from second floor. Simple yet contemporary setup.

We were greeted with a welcome drink which is a honey yogurt drink that were made fresh upon order. It is not overly sweet and smooth flowing down you throw. Good for digestion.

Pirincli Yoghurt & Corbasi RM12.90

Mixed chicken soup cooking with yogurt and rice. This is so healthy. Hardly I get a soup cook this way.

Spicy Seafood Soup RM10.90

It taste pretty much like western Borch soup. But with the hints of spices and chilli powder it taste much better. There are mussels, prawn and squid used in cooking this soup. With the price tag of RM10.90 it is all worth it. Take this for a change rather than the faithful old mushroom soup that can never fail.

Funghi Fritta Fried Mushroom RM13.90

Deep fried mushroom served with tartar sauce is a great snack for all day long. Be it in front of TV or as an appetizer on the dining table is a perfect starter. Lightly battered and deep fried. Every bite make you want for more.

Pizza Andalusia RM23.90

Pizza margherita topped with beef pepperoni, capsicum, olives and fresh mushrooms is the all time favorite of the customers here at Maliqa. Unlike plain pepperoni pizza, some greens does help in enhancing the flavor of the whole hand tossed pizza.

Lamb Shank RM39.90

A freshly prepared lamb shank that creates a tender piece of meat that retain its moist and juiciness. Not to be miss by lamb lovers. I find the smell pretty strong which is good for those who love em. Not for me though. I like the beef smell more which I opt the steak instead.

Maliqa House Steak RM46.90

Beef steak served with cheese, mushroom topped with home made sauce. I like it moist and juicy medium rare. Most of the time they did it well done here as Muslim can’t have blood on their plate. You can special order for it though.

Brushetta Beef RM10.90

Risotto Salmon RM20.90

Italian rice cooked with fresh salmon cooked with chillies and tomato sauce.

Moussaka RM23.90 A MUST ORDER!

Layers of egg plant baked in ground beef. Lasagna like dish with a base of tomatoes and baked with a melted mozzarella on top. It is satisfying and healthy compared to lasagna as it is pretty much vege based.

Dessert of the day RM7.90

Tiramisu Cake RM8.90

Apple Crumble
