Hokano Japanese Food, Neighbourhood Style Japanese Food Restaurant at Damansara Uptown
Early last week I receive an invitation from my fellow blogger Jessica, for a Japanese food restaurant review some where at Damansara Uptown. Although I am quite frequent around this area, but I didn’t notice there are a Japanese food restaurant few doors away from Maybank. I always took the short cut and park in between Maybank and Ambank so I don’t notice it. If you come from another end, then you will see this restaurant before reaching Maybank.
To cut the story shot, I am going in for a Japanese food review ~~! Hooray……

Yirashai ….. Welcome ~~~~ in Japanese Language
Simple setup with plenty of family crowds.
Most of the foods served here were on ala carte type. There are no conveyeur belts sliding around and decoration were very homey style. The menu book also are quite straight forward and easy to make decision of what to eat when you flip it. All were nicely organized according to its type and sequence like appetizer > main > snack > drinks . Too bad they don’t serve dessert here.
For a start we were served with home made potato salad where the texture were smooth with a slight buttery taste which are my liking. Recommended to all on this dish.
Potato Salad – RM7.50
Next here comes the sotong which makes all of us drool while taking photographs …..
Smoke salmon salad – RM12.95
The starters do not end here ….. presenting the next one look and taste real good.
Kaki Fry – RM18.50
Deep fried oyster with breadcrumb served with home made special tartar sauce. A bite of into this will make you go for the next piece. The fresh oyster used in each piece were so juicy as it is coated with breadcrumb to seal the juice within. The best part is, it is not oily. This shows that the chef really know how to control the heat of the pan.
Soft Shell Crab Schimi Age – RM19.90
