Chinese New Year Lou Sang At Tai Zi Heen 2011

With the latest new refurbishment of the restaurant, with a new look, the restaurant is a place that believes in combining great food and impeccable service for a unique dining experience each time. For Chinese tradition, it would be great if everything can be new during Chinese New Year.

As one of the hotel which rated top Chinese restaurants in KL, Tai Zi Heen also were included in Standard Chartered Extravagant 8 Chinese New Year Set Menu. The one that I had was not from the Standard Chartered Menu but is meant for media review.

Salmon Yee Sang

This is far the best Yee Sang I had in all the reviews so far. Though it is nothing special and pure traditional some how I like it. This is on my personal preference and may not be the same for others.

Double boiled pearl shark’s fin with bamboo pith and Chinese cabbage

Every spoon were gorgeous and flavorful filled with freshness of the seafoods

Braised dried oyster with sea moss, baby abalone, sea cucumber and wok fried greens

Traditional Styled Steamed Cod Fish

Every fillet were thick and steamed to perfection paired with superior soya sauce

Stir-Fried prawns with pumpkin sauce served on rice nest

This was Chef Ricky’s recommendation for all time. Fresh prawns lightly battered and then deep fried. Then tossed with pumpkin sauce.

Double boiled hasma with red dates and glutinous rice ball with black sesame seeds to end the dinner with happiness and sweetness all year long.

Sets were available for 10 pax starting at RM988++, RM1288++, RM1488++
