The Drinks

Thai restaurants usually serves the pandan water which uses fresh water boiled with pandan leaves without adding any flavoring and preservatives. It is just to get the aroma out from the leaf. Too bad they don’t serve it here. But they have 2 house specialty instead which is the Thai Ice Coffee and Thai Ice Tea. Both were very authentic.

Thai Iced Tea with palm sugar – Rating 4/5 at RM7

Thai ice tea doesn’t prepared the same way as our normal iced tea. The tea were boiled for few minutes before mixing it in a glass. It is prepared almost the same way you prepare for your cafe latte. Warm fresh milk were poured in and form the second layer from bottom. Same goes for the iced coffee.

Thai Iced Coffee – Rating 4/5 at RM7

Fresh Coconut – RM6

Next ….. The Foods

The Foods

Mango Salad With Dry Shrimp – Rating 3/5 at RM7

A visit to a Thai restaurant without mango salad or mieng kum as starter, just make us feel not right. Like missing something. The taste of their own blend of sauce makes the mango so appetizing before you start the heavy meal. I didn’t order mieng kum from them coz the portion are way too big for me to finish it alone.

Bird eye chili with thai light soya sauce. Caution. This is very spicy!

Stewed Beef Noodle Soup – Rating 3/5 at RM9

This bowl of noodle come with some thin koey teow, beef balls, stewed beef and some kangkung I think. The soup do taste good but cook not long enough. The beef were very flavorful but the portion of the beef are very little only. Overall nothing much to praise about this bowl of noodle. It carries pure Thai taste but not strong enough. Need a little workout here for the soup.

More foods on next page …..

Pineapple Fried Rice – Rating at 2/5 at RM9

The pineapple fried rice taste rather bland. Though the color looks nice, it doesn’t taste as good. There are not much pineapple taste in the rice.

Stir Fried Chicken with Hot Basil Leaves and Chili – Rating 4/5 at RM10

Since my pineapple fried rice taste bland, I ordered this to accompany with it. It goes very well with either fried rice or white rice. This dish also can be cooked with beef and cost RM2 more. Recommended to try this.

Steamed Siakap with Lime and Chili – Rating 5/5 at RM33

This fish is a must to order here. It taste so good and the fish size are just right. The fish were fresh and the lime, bird eye chili, garlic and coriander leaves plus some thai sauce made it taste soooooo good. It taste as good as the Jade fish I had in Coca but the meat is not as fine. I finish the whole bowl of white rice with this dish alone.

Next ….. Desserts

Thai desserts usually put plenty of coconut milk as the ingredient. The most famous one would be the Thub Thim Krob which is the water chestnut with jack fruit slice and coconut milk.

Water chestnut with coconut Milk – Rating 3/5 at RM4.50

No doubt this dessert is very refreshing and taste good. But the portion served here are rather small and also the jack fruit (Nangka) not fragrant enough.

Mango Sticky Rice – Rating 4/5 at RM8

This mango sticky rice will take some time for them to prepare upon order. The taste of the glutinous rice is not too sticky and added with some sesame seeds on top make it taste special. One of the setback is the mango is not sweet enough and the coconut milk is just right. If not I would give them a 5/5 if the mango were sweet.

Overall dining here were pretty fun as you are pampered with plenty of choices. Checkout the menu paper which I scanned.Click on it to enlarge.

They also do provide VIP discount card up to 15% on ala carte items like what I had above. They imposed a 10% service tax so end up the net discount is just 5%. 5% is better than nothing!
