Kafe Fettes Park Western Food

In Penang …. When you mention to people about Fettes Park, the first thing that would come into your mind would be Tua Pui Loh Chicken Rice. That is for lunch and day time. For dinner, the shop next to it are selling a nice and affordable western food. The shop is called Kafe Fettes Park Western Food

This is the place where I first met Lingzie [www.lingzie.com] before the first gathering was held.

The kitchen is located right in front of the kafe where you can see the chef busy frying and grilling non stop.

The kafe entrance is behind the kitchen.

While you walk inside you will notice there are 2 old rusty bicycle on the roof. You think it might fall down. Do rest assured. It is secured there.

Then without wasting anytime we place order for our dinner. Lingzie ordered a garlic fish and I ordered a chicken gordon bleu or myself.

Remark:
The environments makes you feel you are in a nyonya house and the walls are decorated with Taiping Lake view. The service is good and all the set menu foods are nicely matched. The restaurant also serves good desserts and light snacks if you are not into heavy lunch. Let the waiter/waitress recommend you.

Nice foods but poor environment due to their cleanliness is quite horrible. Floors are very oily. Both nasi kandar and nasi padang stalls are packed during lunch hour in the weekday. Most are gov servants.

Good for having a medium sized lunch and breakfast. This shop have been endorsed by 2 TV shows which is 8TV Ho Chak and another chinese food show from NTV7 if not mistaken.

The yam rice is cooked with plenty of yam, soya sauce and spices which produce a very fragrant rice. The pork leg stew also is cooked till the pork meats are very soft and combine with the salted vegetable soup makes the whole meal in perfect balance. The salted vegetable soup is sour, pork leg stew salty and the fragrant yam rice makes you want to eat more due to the sour taste which makes improve your appetite.
