Along the Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, I have tried the top nasi kandar stalls which is Haji Ibramsha, Yaseen and this one. This is ranked the last out of all. There are nothing special out of their curries. It is just moderate and is crowded because of their strategic location.

Parking is an issue here. When you pass through the restaurant, keep to the right and turn in to right and there are a car park lot as shown in the map. When you eat the rice, I would suggest you take their cucumber and sambal belacan. It is pretty strong for spicy lovers. Flood your rice with the mix curry. Let them decide which curry to mix and amaze you. Nasi kandar curry mixer are highly professional in combining curry flavors.

Only sell at night time for supper. Why I say the price is cheap ? When I ate it during the review, I had a ayam roast (Fried chicken soaked in kapitan curry), 3 pcs of beef and a piece of fried onion eggs with extra rice. The price is RM8.60 only. This is a MUST try nasi kandar in Penang. Even my friend who don’t eat spicy foods also love it. The curry are not spicy but very fragrant with spices aroma when taken hot.
You’ll be expecting long ques when eating there. It doesn’t matter whether the weather is clear or raining, still people will que for the nasi kandar.

Nice foods but poor environment due to their cleanliness is quite horrible. Floors are very oily. Both nasi kandar and nasi padang stalls are packed during lunch hour in the weekday. Most are gov servants.

After saw so many reviews on other peoples blog on this restaurant, I decided to give it a shot and try out their nasi kandar. The restaurant is pretty secluded from busy town area and situated in the middle of residential area. There are ample parking space.
We can see a lot people queing even from far when me and my coleaque walk towards the restaurant. Basically to test out nasi kandar, I usually ordered rice with beef and flood my place with curry. Usually in most of the nasi kandar stall, they will just ask you which rice you prefer then they scoop for you. Here they will immediately scoop for you the cabbage right after the white rice. Then only they will scoop for you the curry and other stuffs.
To be frank the gravy from the cabbage spoiled the curry taste because inside the cabbage there are bean sprouts. You can taste the over cook bean sprout taste and that covers the curry fragrance. The beef is too thick and not tender enough. The fried chicken also pretty normal and nothing special about the spice use to marinate it.

A must visit for nasi kandar lovers. The dishes cooked here are pure mamak style and the curry mixer of this shop is a true proffesional. From rumours I heard, this fella is earning more than 10k per month just to mix curry and serve rice. Trust me he is real pro. Eventhough you can’t take spicy, you just inform him. He will know what to do. He speaks 4 languages english, tamil, hokkien and malay.
The beef, “ayam roast” and fish eggs is the signature dish of this shop. A lesson to eat nasi kandar. Never take your nasi kandar curry seperately. You have to ask the pro to mix everything under one plate.

This is one of my prefered kopitiam in Penang. Under one roof there are so many top of the line dish which famous in Penang. The drinks here served are slightly different of what you all drink in the coffee shops so far. They cook their own sugar syrup and froze it. They put evaporated milk for their cold drinks.
My favourite dish in this coffee shop is the LOH DUCK KOAY CHAP. The duck wings are very tasty. Koay Chap is a dish where it use tapioca flour for the mee and come with a squarish shape and then eat together with the loh duck.
The Chee Cheong Fun here are served with chili paste and shrimp paste. Typical Penang style of eating Chee Cheong Fun. The Char Koay Kak also is very tasty but you have to wait for the que if you going to take away.
