In Penang …. When you mention to people about Fettes Park, the first thing that would come into your mind would be Tua Pui Loh Chicken Rice. That is for lunch and day time. For dinner, the shop next to it are selling a nice and affordable western food. The shop is called Kafe Fettes Park Western Food
This is the place where I first met Lingzie [www.lingzie.com] before the first gathering was held.
The kitchen is located right in front of the kafe where you can see the chef busy frying and grilling non stop.
The kafe entrance is behind the kitchen.
While you walk inside you will notice there are 2 old rusty bicycle on the roof. You think it might fall down. Do rest assured. It is secured there.

Then without wasting anytime we place order for our dinner. Lingzie ordered a garlic fish and I ordered a chicken gordon bleu or myself.

This I can say is the most expensive chicken rice I ever had. Even though the price is high, they do deliver quality foods with the price paid. The chickens were very tender and the oyster sauce made it perfect. The oil rice is very fragrant which they cook it with real chicken soup rather than chicken stocks cube with butter.
On the other hand the stuffed fish is not something to be miss. Imagine a whole fish is cut and minced its meat and then put back as a whole fish and fry it like fish cakes. The fish doesn’t come cheap though.

Their sets doesn’t impress me much. But their ala-carte foods are very good. Especially the prawn paste which I ordered. It is very solid minced prawn in there. The wan tan also are home made but a little small in size wise. It doesn’t have much to brag about on the environment and setup. Just looks like a typical shabu shabu shop with conveyeur belt setup.
