During the Holy month of Ramadan, we invite you to break fast in style as the halal-certified Essence features a delectable spread of imperial specialities from the nine royal states of Malaysia.

Guests who dine at Essence this Ramadan are guaranteed a feast not just for their appetites but their taste buds and eyes too!
Often overlooked, Malay cuisine is not as easy to prepare as most people think. “It is an incredible challenge! The spices have to be just right and it takes great skills and patience to cook most of the dishes to perfection, as most of the dishes need to be cooked overnight. The balance is all about preparing it without under or over cooking it,” highlighted Chef Jamsari. Ever since he started his first job at the age of 21, Malay Chef Jamsari bin Mohamad, has been besotted with food. While he personifies happiness and is chatty amongst his friends, he makes no compromise when it comes to creating authentic and traditional Malay cuisines. Essence’s Chef de Cuisine, Abdul Razak together with Executive Sous Chef, Kamaruddin bin Adnin will be working alongside Chef Jamsari, merging their skills, experience and expertise to provide an exquisite dining experience that will leave you wanting more.
