許留山 Hui Lau Shan 1 Utama and Berjaya Time Square
1 Utama old wing has gone thru some upgrades and refurbish. Now the area where previously TGV cinema resides has turn into a food junction. I had a damn good authentic Japanese Ramen with a group of menu crashers ( we order the whole menu except beers and sky juice) at Menya Musashi. We had our main course and next we move to desserts since there are no dessert in Menya Musashi menu.
In front of the Korean and Japanese food area, there’s an escalator leading down. You won’t miss Hui Lau Shan the famous HK dessert shop which I frequent when I go HK. I previously wrote about their HK International Airport outlet HERE.

We were rather disappointed upon placing orders here. Most of their signature items like the Glutinous Rice Balls in Mango Juice with Extra Mango and Mango Mochi were sold out. However we still order most of the available items from the menu. The waiter had a big sweat taking our orders since we pick what ever is in the menu.

Pomelo Icy Sago Cantaloupe – RM7.90

Pomelo Icy Sago Watermelon – RM7.90

Pomelo Icy Sago Honey Dew Melon – RM7.90

It was a range of refreshing desserts that prepared solely with natural ingredients. However the mangoes used here is not as good quality compared to the one in HK. It is not as fragrant and sweet. Still I don’t mind as the price tells. Good mango ain’t cheap. A bowl of the similar dessert in HK outlet cost easily double or more.

Pomelo Ice Sago with Coconut Milk – RM7.90

Mango Icy Delight – RM9.90
Mango puree on top of mango ice sago with cut mangoes

Supreme coconut stewed birds nest with harshma jelly – RM22.90
This one taste better than the one I had in HK. It is not as thick and more easy to taste the rest of the ingredients inside. In HK versions, the coconut milk taste over power everything.

Triple Mango Delight – RM9.90
Same with mango delight above but come with a scoop of home made mango ice cream

Silky Mango Pudding – RM4.90

Turtle shaped Bird’s nest mango pudding – RM11.90
Luxury way to enjoy mango pudding.

Mango Icy Crystal Jelly – RM9.90

Mango Juice, Mango Cubes and Mango Jelly – RM8.90

Super Mango Mania in Coconut juice with red bean – RM7.90

Mango, coconut juice and herbal jelly drink – RM6.90

So happy to see so many desserts in one go. Love the menu crashers team.

Signature Curry Combo – RM7.90
HK versions of curry fish ball. The rest no comments.

Must go back to try their mochi..
Hey, just wondering…is this place halal ar? I was thinking desserts are halal, but then I realized there’s the curry dish with tripes, which may be pork/pig tripes…since many Chinese can’t take beef/cow? Would u know?
Ruth : No halal sign ……
