MIGF 2011 – Chynna KL Hilton

If anyone ask me what is my personal favorite Chinese Restaurant, without hesitation my answer would be Chynna KL Hilton. The reason why I say so is because of Chef Lam behind the scene always did an excellent job impressing customers with his dishes.

The entrance of the restaurant resemble the olden Chinese restaurants where the cashier is at the side. Upon entering the restaurant the center of the restaurant is the main table where it as classy as a royal palace dining table.

Chynna is my 3rd stop on MIGF 2011 Hotel Restaurant Dining. Without further delay, let’s see what is offered at Chynna.

Chilled Alaska King Crab Leg

Chili Paste Seafood Skewer
The Alaskan King crab leg, with the seafood skewer adds on to excite your tastebuds of the expecting more good stuffs to come.
Brine Momotaro Tomato.
The dinner start of with a cold appetizer. The brine momotaro tomato, a rare Japanese breed but grown in Cameron Highlands – is perhaps the juiciest tomato that I have ever had. I am not a fan of tomatoes but this one, I can’t resist. The tomato is added with ginger mix to spice it up.

Double Boiled Snakehead Nourishing Tonic Soup with Fresh Milk and Shark’s Fin
It was a cold night during this review. Happens to be out there were having a heavy rain. This soup fits just right and it is a perfect soup for anyone who need more nutrition.

Stewed Short Rib with Charcoal Garlic & Roasted Onion Potato
Checkout  the look of the meat. By looking at it, we can tell how tender it is. Not to mention the juice still retain within.

Duet Deep Sea Grouper with Dragon Fruits Sauce and
Olive Oil Blended Green Spinach Sauce.

The fish comes in 2 flavors – the first being the one with green spinach sauce

The dragon fruit portion.
Both the fish fillet were fresh and thick. The sauce I find it pretty healthy as it is prepared on vege and fruit based. Everyone can enjoy this meal. If you fry it, not all can take it if they have health issues.

Salted Plum with Lime Sorbet

Halfway through, there’s a sorbet for you to wash down the food and the tastes, so that your throat is clear again for the next round of dishes

Thick Gruel Japanese Rice with Fresh Peeled Crab Meat
in Lobster Reduction
At a glance, it look like a plate of porridge with eggs on top of it. It is more than that! It was a Japanese rice cooked in lobster stock and serve with ebiko, fresh crab meats and some lobster meats. It is a MUST Try ! So satisfying and filling.
Black Chocolate Parfait with Five Nuts
For dessert, Chef Lam has come up with the ideal combination of chocolate, nuts, yam and the sweet potato cha cha mousse. It is good enough to make you drool ~~
Sweet Potato Cha Cha Mousse with Yam Ice Cream
