Valentine Roti Canai Kuala Lumpur, The Best and Most Fluffy Roti Canai in KL
Last night I went for a drive with Andrew for a small food hunt at Kampung Baru, KL area. We were trying to look for the best street food around the city. We end up decided to look for the best Roti Canai in town. Most of the blog writers mention that the best is at Raju’s Jalan Gasing. Me and Andrew tried it but that is not our type. Food style and taste were kinda subjective. Not everyone is having the same tastebud. Some like it crunchy and some like it thicker.
The best roti canai which I had is located in Penang, Transfer Road. Now I am looking something which can top that. My journey come to an end with Valentine Roti. They even put the title “Best Roti Canai” on their signboard. This place is located right opposite of Wisma Celcom at the T junction. You won’t miss it if you come from Wisma Celcom as Valentine Roti is located diagonally.

The roti were as thin as roti tissue and fluffy.

This roti taste at its best while it is hot and crispy.

This is just one piece of roti and look at the size. The roti canai come with a few choices of curry sauce. The standard one that come with every piece of roti is the dhal curry, fish curry and sambal ikan bilis.

Chicken Curry

Dhal Curry

Fish Curry

Sambal Ikan Bilis

The roti is flipped till at maximum thinnest possible form without breaking it.

The roti is fluffy because of the way it is folded and cooked. Normal roti canai seller usually will curl it up and when want to put on the frying pan, it will then be flatten again.

I will be back to this place again to try out their roti sardine and roti telur. The sardine were home cooked and not from the can.

For me, any type of roti canai is okay as long as it’s not too thick. And it’s important to have nice accompanying curry sauce.
how u know their sardine is home cooked?
I am sorry to note that your claim to be GPS friendly does not hold water. For example, this page featuring Valentine’s Roti Canai does not indicate any GPS coordinates. It’s definitely time you make this site user friendly. Thank you for reading.
