Buka Puasa with RM48 Ramadan Buffet at Restoran Intai Intai Ampang

To all my Muslim friends and readers, I would like to wish you Selamat Berpuasa on this holy fasting month. Yesterday was the first day to start off this holy moments. Here I would like to share with you the best kept hidden secret dine with nature location which serves an awesome Thai Food. The place is called Intai Intai and located right behind the Honda Show Room and Service Center when you come down from DUKE highway.

This place in my humble opinion, is rather unknown by Chinese diners. I came to know about this place from my fellow blogger Sidney ( / ).  Trust me! The food here is cook by a Thai Chef called Chef Yie which hail from Southern Thai.

On this fasting month, they were offering a wide variety of authentic Thai foods on the buffet tables.

Night scene and dine next to lake. Nice place to be for a nature dining experience.

This is how it looks in the day time with a lake that has Japanese KOI fish in it.

Clean and neat place.

You can have a relax time here by listening to crickets and water sound from the man made water fountain.

Open air concept tables setup

Dine by the lake

For a start, we were greeted with my favorite stuffed crab.

Poo Chai – Deep Fried Stuffed Crab served with Crunchy Pamelo Salad

‘Yam Som O on platter – with Crunchy Pamelo Salad’ is something different served here rather than the normal mango salad. This is another popular Thai salad that are commonly served as a starter.

‘Seafood Fried Rice’ at Intai-Intai had added into one of our favourite list, that fried till aromatic with wok hei, the rice was not too dry which is just perfect and a bit of sambal just kicks in the flavor. This is the best fried rice I had in a Malay restaurant. Try it! I bet you will finish the whole plate in a jiffy.

‘Udang Galah Masak Lemak Bersama Nenas Muda’ as we love the taste of it with mild pineapple flavour at the end of the tongue and curry is mild spicy too.

Fresh and succulent prawn

Kerabu Daging Bakar Thai

Pandan Chicken

Butter Prawn

‘Beef Green Curry’ in thick curry sauce and if you eat it without rice, you might find it a bit strong in taste (meant to go along with white rice).

‘Stir Fried Mix Vegetable with dry shrimps’

‘Sotong Sumbat Thai’ one of the item that must order, as this sotong was out of stock very fast.

‘Siakap Fish Stim Garlic’

Tako for dessert

‘sira ubi kayu’ (Tapioca) eat it slowly with a cup of cofffee is just something you might want to consider.

’sago yat sai’ (Water Chestnut Pudding) is one of the best to be added into our list also with soft layer of santan and base of it is good that blend well with the pandan leaves.

Pumpkin Pudding Sakaya

Home Made Thai Cakes

Not to forget the great Thai Mango Glutinous Rice

The great man behind all the good foods, Chef Yie

Bart the owner’s brother hosting us for the night. Thanks man!

For anyone who is looking for nice Thai food to eat or during this Fasting month with some of the menu berbuka puasa that we tried, Intai-Intai would be one of the restaurant I am recommending with its excellent taste and quality for most of the dishes we have tried and for its buffet is only RM 48 nett which I think its very reasonable for such a quality food.

I really enjoy the environment. But the best part I think, the fried prawn. Can feel the juicy of the freshness of the prawn blend perfectly with all the ingredients. The fish, chicken, beef etc, is also outstanding.
will be there, again and again.

    few things to improve:
    1. The ABC,…. adoiya, the taste really spoil.
    2. puasa season, a little bit disorganized.

Overall, I give the vote: 8/10…bravo!
