Carven Ong Celebrating 18th Anniversary and Showcase Of Spring/Summer 2010 Collection

Last Friday on the 11th Dec 2009, I was lucky to be invited for a fashion show to cover for Carven Ong’s 18th Anniversary at Prince Hotel. It was a fantastic event where there are showcase of his student’s work and his latest couture collection.
Carven Ong made his debut at the MODA Wanita Fashion Show in 1991 with an aim of no turning back. His spirit and passion has led him to what he is today – a principle, prominent designer and an entrepreneur.
Carven has proven that he is not a stranger in today’s fashion world; what’s more his sophisticated, elegance yet contemporary design has always become every lady’s dream to own and to shine on the red carpet.
Celebrating 18 years, Carven’s touch with the yin and yang elements – has create a new Spring/Summer 2010 collections with an aim of bringing his creation to the high level of fashion design.
The Spring/Summer 2010 collection is called “Snacas’ Spell” (snaca old English word of ‘snake’) – an inspiration like mimicking human mutating into cold-blooded creatures: a tiny step toward the dark side. The long evening gowns are electrifying sexy and elegant with the snake design coil around the heads, clasping through waists, entwined on body and throats as a symbol of Eve’s temptation and of elegance, as it’s seen in Greek Mythology.
