The cheongsam, also known as Qi-Pao (Chi-Pao) in Mandarin, has been worn by Chinese Woman since the time of the Manchu Emperors. Since then, the cheongsam enjoys a growing popularity in the world of high fashion. Due to its restrictive nature, it is now mainly worn for important occasions but in line with MIGF 09, Carven Ong, Malaysia Most Prominent Designer will preview a cheongsam collection with a modern twist called “Oriental Flower” – an inspiration from the Chinese tradition culture with the weight of flower symbols – keeping the Chinese legacy a dream come true in the modern world.
Combination of taffeta and Thai Silk material with sparkling diamonds and the beads with rich embroidery work brings love, adoration and unity to those who wear it.
