Ivy’s Kitchen – The Home Cook Recipe Nyonya Food

Many of people thinking nyonya food is mostly available in family size meal only. With the current economy state, Mr Tan and his wife (Ivy) who are behind the cooking to come up with individual sized cooking for nyonya food.

The shop located just next to Jemputree in Pulau Tikus where is a prime area for office buildings and commercial area. Converted from an old house to a restaurant makes you feel more like dining at home comfort.

All the foods sold in Ivy’s Kitchen are PORK FREE and health consideration is put in place. For example, for nasi lemak you can opt to choose white rice or the normal coconut milk rice. On the drinks part, they bundled in fruit juice into every meal set.

Best Selling in Ivy’s Kitchen – Nasi Lemak Set RM7.50** (** means inclusive of a fruit juice and home made jelly)

The coconut milk rice here is off da hook! It taste sooooo good! You just couldn’t tell the difference between this and authentic Malay version of nasi lemak. Usually Chinese style of cooking nasi lemak will have a taste which you could easily tell vs the muslim’s version. The sambal also not too spicy and just nice for all to eat.

    i do agree that Chinese style nasi lemak rather bland and cannot be compared to the Malay’s version. but with more side dishes.

    I am still remembering the fried popiah at Ivy’s Kitchen – I call it fusion popiah. Aiyo, what’s inside, ah? Can’t quite remember. Can just remember it tasted very good and wish it was available in Subang Jaya. Very different!
