Yishensu Klang – A Meatless Banquet Experience

Vegetarian food …… Over in 3 years of writing food blogs, there are only 1 post which I write about sole vegetarian food. My first vegetarian food post was at Kechara Oasis during their press launch. They are level 1 hardcore vegetarian restaurant which doesn’t serve onions, garlics, eggs and also milk. Most of the foods were pretty tasteless to a meat lover like me.
All those thinking and perception changed in my mind set upon dining in Yishensu.

Klang BBT One Flagship Outlet
This restaurant is currently managed by the second generation of the family which has operated for more than 23 years in vegetarian business. The business got started in Kampar, Perak and then branched out in 2007 where they opened their first branch in 1Utama shopping mall at Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Then later on Klang outlet was opened at the end of last year. This 2 branch is considered as their flagship restaurant now as it focus more on promoting more vegetarian foods where everyone can accept a meatless meal according to Jason Wong the person incharge.
I will go into both of their restaurants but in 2 different post as both of this restaurant serve different style of vegetarian food. Let us begin with the Klang Bandar Bukit Tinggi outlet.

Family size tables and banquet setup arrangements

Modern Interior Design which doesn’t have any worship statues which commonly available in vegetarian restaurants
We were greeted with a glass of Rosella Flower drinks upon seated. It is said that this flower is very good for health where it can reduce blood pressure, make your more pretty and few other effects written on their pamphlets. You can buy it home and make your own drink at home too.

Rosella Flower Drink Rating at 4/5
The drinks doesn’t have any sugar added or other ingredients. It is just the flower alone mix with plain ice water and stir. The taste were pretty special and refreshing.

Is all that vegetarian?? Unbelievable!

Taste almost the same but price a lot cheaper.
lol, nice post. I stayed in Bukit Tinggi for years, and went to bbt-one a few times, saw this restaurant at second floor, but never dare to walk into it, because vegetarian gives me a very bad impressiong. But after reading ur post, i have second thought,
. Gonna try it some day.

Thanks.
Can’t blame you. That area is so new and practically no people at all when we went there during lunch time. That area now slowly growing though.
The Vegetarian Poon Chooi looks like the one I ate in Hong Kong but with lots of meat.

That is meaty version. This one healthier
Pretty cool post. I just came across your blog and wanted to say
that I have really liked reading your blog posts. In any case
I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you post again soon!
I can’t believe that the chef himself is a vegetarian…haha, shows that this is not purely vegetarian after all, yeah:p
Nevertheless, I am still very impressed by the colorful variety; and how they mimicked the actual stuffs; I am half a vegetarian too…haha, I just love vegetarian food:)
One thing though, I do find it unreasonable when they charge you at the same price as the actual ones…it’s just not right; maybe for the craftsmanship in emulating the actual taste and look, but still not justifiable for the ingredients itself….don’t you think so?

This one is much cheaper. A real Poon Choy cost at least RM500. This one RM168 with lots of freebies
so this was the one you were raving bout!
gotta find the one in Kampar quick. before this slips my mind!
hahaah …

I dunno also. Bit it really taste good.
I saw the outlet at 1U last week and thought it was a real fine-dining restaurant. Does the price cost like fine-dining price too?
But the poon choi is really impressive. I’m into vegetarian food but can hardly find good outlets in Pg!!
