The yam rice is cooked with plenty of yam, soya sauce and spices which produce a very fragrant rice. The pork leg stew also is cooked till the pork meats are very soft and combine with the salted vegetable soup makes the whole meal in perfect balance. The salted vegetable soup is sour, pork leg stew salty and the fragrant yam rice makes you want to eat more due to the sour taste which makes improve your appetite.

the pork meat ball soup looks nice! how is it compare with the one in PJ old town?
it’s getting hard to find a tasty good old taste of yam rice these days..
i’ll try to find this when i’m making my penang biz trip! hope it taste as good!!

This taste totally different with our PJ version. Penang’s one are totally made from preserved salted vege and pretty sour.
Really good !!! The call it ‘or perng’ or black rice there. Never fail to eat at their sister outlet in Juru each time I visit my branch !!!!
